Avoiding the Estate Planning Traps: Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Long-Term Care
Presenter: Cassandra Lustfield, Attorney
Estate planning is not just about preparing documents; it is about making sure the right people have authority to act, assets pass as intended, and loved ones are not left with unnecessary confusion, court involvement, or expense. This workshop will explain common estate planning tools, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives, and will address frequent planning mistakes involving probate, beneficiary designations, incapacity, long-term care, and family decision-making. Attendees will learn practical considerations for reviewing an existing plan or thinking through a new one.
